Excerpt: Dubai’s Global Village has extended its milestone 30th season by three weeks, now closing on May 31.
Dubai’s Global Village will stay open until May 31, 2026, after announcing a three-week extension of its landmark Season 30 on Sunday, May 10 — what was originally scheduled as the final day of the season. The decision aligns the closing stretch with the Eid Al Adha holiday period, giving families and residents across the UAE one more reason to visit before the attraction shuts for the summer.
The announcement was made on the park’s social media channels the same day it was set to close.
Season 30 has had a turbulent run. The park shut down for 51 days as a precautionary measure during the US-Iran war before reopening on April 20. Operations had originally been suspended on February 28 at the start of the conflict. The reopening was met with significant public enthusiasm, with residents lining up well before the gates opened and the Dubai Police Academy band leading a parade to mark the occasion.
Global Village Season 30 Deals and Extended Hours
With the extension confirmed, the park has rolled out a set of limited-time promotions aimed at families and groups. Visitors can get unlimited Carnaval rides for Dh99 on weekdays, while a family ticket offer bundles four entry tickets for the price of one at Dh30. Any additional ticket beyond that is available for Dh7.50 each.
Operating hours during the extended period are 5pm to 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, and 5pm to midnight from Sunday through Thursday.
In the final weeks, visitors can expect shopping promotions, live entertainment on the main stage, children’s theatre performances, and more than 250 dining options from around the world.
Fernando Eiroa, CEO of Dubai Holding Entertainment, said the Eid finale carries particular meaning. “Concluding the season during Eid Al Adha, a time that brings communities together, allows us to celebrate alongside the families, residents and visitors who have made this chapter so memorable,” he said.
Season 30 Milestones and What to See Before It Closes
Throughout Season 30, Global Village brought together more than 90 cultures, 3,500 retail outlets, and over 250 dining options. The season also debuted several new attractions, including Gardens of the World, a landscaped zone connecting the Egypt and China pavilions; Dragon Kingdom, an interactive walk-through with 11 themed rooms; and The Little Wonderers at Carnaval, an indoor adventure park for younger children.
One notable absence this season has been the Iran pavilion. It remained closed following the park’s April 20 reopening, with its signage removed and entrance blocked. The pavilion also disappeared from the venue’s website. Global Village has not publicly commented on its status.
Season 29 closed with a record 10.5 million visitors, according to Dubai Holding. The extension through May 31 gives the 30th edition additional runway before the destination goes dark for the summer heat.
Eiroa added that the team is already focused on what comes next. “As we look ahead to Season 31, our focus remains on building on this momentum, continuing to evolve the guest experience and reinforce Global Village’s position as one of the region’s most distinctive destinations for culture, entertainment, dining and retail.”
Global Village typically reopens in October each year when temperatures begin to drop across the UAE.
