Dubai’s Global Village will open its 31st season on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, bringing back the sprawling mix of cultural pavilions, dining, shopping and live entertainment that anchors the city’s winter calendar. The opening event begins at 6:00 PM, and the season runs through mid-May 2027 under the theme “A More Wonderful World.”

The attraction confirmed the dates through its official channels, with the season set to close on May 17, 2027. Organizers said Season 31 will introduce a range of new attractions and experiences alongside returning favorites, with further details to be revealed in a series of announcements ahead of opening day.

Global Village closes each summer because much of the destination is outdoors and the extreme heat makes normal operations difficult. The break also gives teams time to carry out maintenance and prepare new pavilions, rides and experiences for the season ahead. Part of Dubai Holding Entertainment, the destination has been a fixture of the city since 1997 and says it has welcomed more than 100 million guests over its history.

Global Village Dubai Season 31 opening date and tickets

Entry tickets for the destination have typically cost Dh25 on weekdays, from Sunday to Thursday, and Dh30 on weekends, from Friday to Saturday. Entry is free for children under three, visitors aged 65 and above, and people of determination. Tuesdays are usually reserved for ladies and families, except on public holidays.

Ticket sales for Season 31 had not gone live at the time of announcement, with the destination saying entry passes would be available later in the year. Daily operating timings for the new season are also expected to be confirmed closer to opening day, so visitors are advised to check official channels before planning a trip. The mid-October launch lines up with the start of Dubai’s winter tourism season, when cooler weather draws millions of residents and international travelers to outdoor attractions across the city.

The scale of the destination is best measured by the season that came before it. Season 30 featured 30 pavilions representing more than 90 cultures, over 3,500 shopping outlets and more than 250 dining experiences. Visitors enjoyed some 40,500 performances by 450 international artists, along with more than 200 rides and games at the Carnaval funfair zone.

For many residents and tourists, the appeal of Global Village lies in how much it packs into one destination. Shoppers can browse floral dresses at the China Pavilion, pick up Kashmiri jewelry at the India Pavilion, or take home honey from Yemen and sweet mangoes from Thailand. Between the pavilions sit food stalls serving cuisines from around the world, live shows, amusement rides and the kind of open-air people-watching that keeps families coming back year after year.

Good News: Dubai’s @Global Village has announced that Season 31 will open on October 14, 2026, and run until May 2027 under the theme “A More Wonderful World.”

Season 31 is expected to build on that formula with several new offerings across the site. Global Village has said it will unveil its new and enhanced attractions gradually in the weeks leading up to October 14, so full details on pavilions, shows and rides are still to come. The destination invited food and beverage businesses to register for the new season back in August, an early sign of the scale of the dining lineup being prepared.

Global Village looked very different when it first opened. It began in 1997 as a modest collection of kiosks along Dubai Creek, built around a simple idea: to give people a taste of different cultures through food, handicrafts and small performances. Over the years the concept grew far beyond that original footprint, moving from its temporary spot on the Creek to progressively larger venues before settling into its permanent home near Exit 37 on Sheikh Zayed Road.

Today it stands as one of the UAE’s most popular family destinations and a defining part of Dubai’s cultural and entertainment scene. Drawing visitors from across the Emirates and abroad, it brings together cultural showcases, retail, world cuisine and live entertainment in a single outdoor setting. With Season 31, that tradition continues into another winter, inviting a new wave of guests to explore what the destination calls “A More Wonderful World.”
