The world’s first Armani hotel, inside Burj Khalifa, will return next spring after a full-scale transformation.

Armani Hotel Dubai, the world’s first hotel designed by Giorgio Armani, will reopen in March 2027 following a major renovation of the property inside Burj Khalifa. The hotel will bring back its ballroom and event spaces first in January 2027, ahead of the full reopening two months later.

According to Gulf News, the hotel closed on April 1, 2026, for a comprehensive refurbishment, its first since opening in 2010, the same year the Burj Khalifa itself opened. The renovation covers the rooms and suites, dining venues, spa and fitness facilities, ballroom and event spaces, along with the pool and outdoor areas.

The property occupies the concourse level through the 39th floor of Burj Khalifa and holds 160 rooms and suites. It sits at 1 Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai, within walking distance of Dubai Mall and the Dubai Fountain.

Giorgio Armani is pleased to announce a new worldwide joint venture with Symphony Global, the private investment company of Mohamed Alabbar, to develop future Armani Hotels & Resorts.

What is changing in the Armani Hotel Dubai renovation

The transformation is being described as an evolution of the hotel rather than a full reinvention. According to Time Out Dubai, the operator said every detail will continue to reflect the Armani aesthetic, with a focus on refined design, considered materials and quiet sophistication. Rooms and suites are being redesigned, and existing Armani/Casa furnishings will stay in place to keep a link to the original design concept.

The reopening is set to roll out in phases. The renovated ballroom and event spaces will be unveiled in January 2027, followed by the refreshed rooms, dining destinations, spa and wider guest experience when the hotel fully reopens in March 2027. Online bookings remain unavailable until early January 2027 while work continues.

The refreshed hotel is expected to combine Armani’s Italian design sensibility with Dubai’s international character, while keeping the minimalist look the property is known for. Further details on the new rooms, restaurants, spa and other facilities are expected to be announced ahead of the phased reopening.

Armani Hotel Dubai is one of several high-profile Dubai properties currently closed or undergoing renovation, part of a wider wave of upgrades across the city’s luxury hotel sector.
