The UAE’s live entertainment scene is bouncing back hard. After the US-Iran war disrupted airspace in February and forced dozens of concerts and festivals to postpone or cancel entirely, the country is heading into what promoters are already calling one of the busiest live event calendars in years. Shows have been rescheduled rather than scrapped, new dates confirmed, and a string of major names added to fill the second half of 2026 across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The recovery started with a jolt. Sold-out Eid Al Fitr concerts by Hussain Al Jassmi and Ahmed Saad at Space42 Arena in March signalled that audiences were back. Dubai Opera hosted its first post-conflict show in early April, followed by a full calendar that has only grown since. Industry insiders are comparing the momentum to the post-pandemic rebound. “After Covid, it was all about revenge travelling,” one promoter told The National. “Now it will be a case of revenge entertainment.”
Eid Al Adha Concerts and May Highlights
The Eid Al Adha holiday window is already stacked. Legendary Iraqi singer Kadim Al Sahir performs at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on May 28, one of the most anticipated Arabic music concerts of the year. Egyptian romantic balladeer Tamer Ashour takes the stage at Space42 Arena on May 16, the same night Swedish House Mafia headline the season closing show at Ushuaia Dubai Harbour Experience with a set built around dance floor anthems including Don’t You Worry Child and Save the World.
Ballet fans have a rare treat on May 17, when internationally acclaimed Bolshoi ballerina Svetlana Zakharova performs Modanse at Dubai Opera, a double bill that includes a work tracing the life of Gabrielle Chanel. Dubai Opera also hosts Lebanese singer Adam on May 28 and a farewell gala for Ivan Vasiliev on May 30, featuring principal dancers from the Bolshoi, La Scala, Paris Opera Ballet, and Dutch National Ballet.
Summer, Autumn and the Big Comebacks
The calendar stays full through the warmer months. The Beach Boys bring their 60 Years of Pet Sounds tour to Coca-Cola Arena on June 11, led by original member Mike Love. Def Leppard follow on August 2 at the same venue, marking their return to the UAE since the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend. Kuwait’s Miami Band perform their career retrospective at Coca-Cola Arena on August 29.
Christina Aguilera, originally booked for April, returns to Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on September 25. The seven-time Grammy winner performed at Saadiyat Nights earlier in 2025 to wide acclaim and her rescheduled show is already one of the most discussed on the autumn lineup.
Richard Marx makes his first-ever Middle East appearance at Coca-Cola Arena on October 3, bringing four decades of hits including Right Here Waiting and Hazard. British pop group Blue celebrate 25 years of music at Expo City Dubai on October 25, the same night Indian-Canadian comedian Russell Peters plays Etihad Arena.
November: The Month That Changes Everything
November is shaping up to be the standout month. The Offlimits Music Festival, moved from April to November 21 at Etihad Park in Abu Dhabi, retains its headline acts: Shakira and the Jonas Brothers. At Dh495 per ticket, it is one of the season’s biggest pop events. Tarkan, the Turkish pop icon best known globally for Simarik, makes his Abu Dhabi debut at Etihad Arena on November 27. The same night, Lebanese singer Hiba Tawaji and jazz trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf perform together at Dubai Opera.
The Abu Dhabi Festival rounds out November with American Ballet Theatre on the 20th and a Verdi opera gala on the 29th marking 125 years since the composer’s death.
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend in December brings Lewis Capaldi and Zara Larsson to Etihad Park on December 3, opening what is expected to be a four-night after-race concert series at Yas Marina Circuit.
Tickets for most shows remain on sale and previously purchased tickets for rescheduled events are valid for new dates.
