Eid Al Fitr 2026: Free Things You Can Do This Long Weekend in Dubai

The Eid Al Fitr long weekend is finally here, and if the plan is still "we'll figure it out," Dubai has enough on offer to pull together a solid few days without much stress. This year, a couple of standout options are making it easier than usual for families to do something genuinely memorable without burning through the post-Ramadan budget entirely.

Whether you are looking for a proper night out or something the kids can do from the living room couch, here is what is worth knowing about this Eid.

La Perle Is Letting Kids In Free

If your family has not been to La Perle yet, this is the push you needed. The show at Al Habtoor City is currently running a Kids Go Free promotion valid through the end of September 2026, meaning children get in at no cost when accompanied by a paying adult.

The show is unlike anything else permanently running in the UAE. Staged inside a purpose-built 1,300-seat aqua-theatre, it combines aerial acrobatics, an 18-metre live high dive, and a signature act called the Wheel of Life, all performed in and around a central pool that doubles as the main stage. It runs around 90 minutes, which is long enough to feel like a proper night out but short enough that younger kids stay engaged throughout.

Production-wise, La Perle sits in a different league from most live entertainment in the city. It was directed by Franco Dragone, the creative force behind several Cirque du Soleil productions, and it shows. The technical ambition of the show — water, height, lighting, and live performance all working simultaneously — makes it genuinely impressive for adults and completely mesmerizing for children who have never seen anything like it.

The venue itself adds to the experience. Al Habtoor City is easy to get to, parking is manageable, and the whole setup feels like an event rather than just a show. If you are hosting family visiting from out of town this Eid, this is exactly the kind of thing that lands well with guests of all ages.

For tickets, head to laperle.com or call the box office on +971 4 437 0001. You can also book through PlatinumList. It tends to sell out during holiday weekends, so booking before Eid day rather than showing up and hoping for the best is strongly advised.

LEGOLAND's Live Builder Sessions Are Free to Join From Home

Not every Eid activity needs to involve leaving the house, and LEGOLAND Dubai's ongoing series of live Master Model Builder workshops is a genuinely low-key win for families with younger children.

The sessions are streamed live on the official LEGOLAND Dubai Instagram and walk kids through building simple LEGO models using basic bricks most households already have sitting around.

What makes it work better than a standard YouTube tutorial is the live format. Children can follow along in real time, ask questions during the built-in Q&A segment, and actually interact with the Master Model Builder rather than just watching a pre-recorded video. There is a participatory energy to it that keeps kids more focused than passive screen time usually does.

Each session also comes with a giveaway. One family per session wins four tickets to LEGOLAND Dubai to use when the park reopens, which gives children something to look forward to beyond the workshop itself. Recent sessions have covered themes like flowers, with new ones announced through the LEGOLAND Dubai Instagram account ahead of time.

It is free to join, requires nothing more than a phone or tablet and whatever LEGO bricks you have at home, and keeps younger children genuinely occupied for a solid chunk of the afternoon. For parents managing a long holiday weekend with energetic kids, that is worth more than it sounds.

Making the Most of the Long Weekend

Eid weekends in Dubai have a rhythm to them. The first day is usually reserved for family visits and the traditional rounds of greetings. By day two and three, everyone is fed, rested, and ready for something to do. That is when having a plan actually matters.

La Perle works best as an evening outing, ideally on the second or third day when the holiday pace has settled. Book early, dress up a little, and make a proper night of it. The LEGOLAND sessions work well as afternoon filler on days when the heat is too much for outdoor plans and the kids need something structured to channel their energy into.

Eid Mubarak to all the families celebrating this season.
