News of Cameron and Jemima’s engagement first surfaced in May, following a romance that had largely stayed out of the spotlight. The couple are understood to have been together for around a year and a half, having met through their shared work in film and documentary production.

Cameron O’Reilly, 62, is the son of the late Sir Anthony O’Reilly, the former Irish international rugby player who became a media mogul. An Oxford graduate, Cameron began his career in his father’s newspaper businesses before moving into private equity and later leading the Swiss metering company Landis and Gyr, which was acquired by Toshiba in a 2.3 billion dollar deal in 2011. He has four children of his own.
