A Dubai-based compliance officer has won $1 million in the latest Dubai Duty Free draw.
A 42-year-old compliance officer based in Dubai has won $1 million in the latest Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw, held Wednesday at Dubai International Airport.
According to Khaleej Times, Gaurav Madaan won the prize in Millennium Millionaire Series 545 with ticket number 2916, which he purchased online on May 20.
Madaan has lived in Dubai since 2023 and works for a French company. He is a father of one and had entered Dubai Duty Free promotions for more than five years before winning.
Madaan said the win fulfilled a long-held dream and that he plans to invest the money in property in Dubai. Originally from Sonipat, Madaan is the 277th person of his nationality to win the $1 million prize since the promotion launched in 1999. That group remains the largest set of ticket buyers in the draw’s history.
Dubai Duty Free Draw Includes Luxury Vehicle Prizes
The same round produced several luxury vehicle winners through the Finest Surprise promotion.
A 60-year-old Emirati based in Dubai won a Mercedes-Benz GLS 580 4M through the DDF-AMEX co-branded promotion. The retired father of two said he had held an AMEX membership for nearly two decades.
A 44-year-old resident in Dubai won a Land Rover Defender 110 V8 Ultimate Edition. He had previously won a Range Rover Sport in April 2024. He said he buys multiple tickets, including one based on his family’s birthdays.
David Duppa-Miller, a 63-year-old British national based in the UK, won an Aprilia RSV4 1100. His ticket number was 0976 in Finest Surprise Series 667, purchased online at Concourse C on May 22. It was his second motorbike win. He had won a BMW F 900 GS in February 2026.
Duppa-Miller said that after his first win he realised anyone could be lucky and encouraged others to keep trying. The Millennium Millionaire promotion has run since 1999 and limits the number of tickets sold per series. Winners have come from dozens of nationalities since the draw began.
