An Abu Dhabi resident has won the Dh30-million Grand Prize in the UAE Lottery.
An Abu Dhabi resident has won the Dh30-million Grand Prize in the UAE Lottery. The winner claimed the jackpot in the Lucky Day Draw held on May 27.
According to Khaleej Times, the winner is Tayab Khan, a Nepalese resident based in Abu Dhabi. He secured the prize after matching all six lucky day numbers and the lucky month number in the draw.
Khan said he was not watching the draw when it took place. He learned of the result later through an email notification.
Khan said he selected the numbers randomly and was not following the draw live. He described the moment he found out as a fantastic feeling and said he felt amazing, as if he was in the sky.
Khan is the second Grand Prize winner in the UAE Lottery’s history. A spokesperson for the UAE Lottery described the win as an important milestone for the Lucky Day Draw.
UAE Lottery Lucky Day Draw Prizes and Schedule
The Lucky Day Draw has now produced its second Grand Prize winner since the Dh100-million jackpot. The spokesperson said the latest result followed two earlier Dh5-million winners.
Earlier this year, the draw on April 29 produced the second Dh5-million winner. The latest result on May 27 delivered the second Grand Prize winner.
Lucky Day Draws take place every Wednesday and Saturday at 9.30pm. Each draw offers participants the chance to win the Dh30-million grand prize and the Dh5-million second prize. It also offers three guaranteed Lucky Chance prizes worth Dh50,000 each.
The draws form part of the wider UAE Lottery, which operates as a licensed draw-based game in the country. Winners are selected through the matching of the drawn numbers, and prizes are paid out according to the tier a player matches.
The UAE Lottery has run a series of large payouts since its launch. The Grand Prize sits at the top of the prize structure, with the second prize and the guaranteed Lucky Chance prizes below it. The combination gives players multiple ways to win in each draw.
Khan’s win adds to a small group of top-tier winners since the game began. The first Grand Prize and the earlier Dh5-million payouts had already drawn attention to the Lucky Day Draw, and the latest result extends that run.
