The UAE and Pakistan have both strongly condemned Houthi attacks targeting civilian and economic sites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The United Arab Emirates and Pakistan have separately issued strong condemnations of attacks by the Houthi group on civilian and economic facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Both governments released their statements on September 8, 2026.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the country strongly condemns the attacks by the Houthi terrorist group on Saudi civilian and economic facilities and vessels. The statement was carried by the Emirates News Agency, WAM, and issued through the ministry in Abu Dhabi.
Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued its own condemnation the same day. In Press Release No. 239 of 2026, the ministry said Pakistan condemns, in the strongest possible terms, the attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against civilian and economic targets in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Pakistan Foreign Office Statement on Saudi Arabia
In its statement, issued from Islamabad, the Pakistan Foreign Office described the attacks as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom. It said the attacks pose a threat to the peace and stability of the entire region and undermine efforts aimed at securing a peaceful and durable resolution of the conflict in Yemen.
The ministry reiterated Pakistan’s support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, security and prosperity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and said Pakistan stands in complete solidarity with the leadership, government and people of the Kingdom. It conveyed sincere wishes for the swift and full recovery of all those injured in the attacks.
The statement added that, consistent with the United Nations Charter and international law, Pakistan fully supports the Kingdom’s legitimate right to take all necessary measures to defend its territory, protect its citizens and residents, and safeguard its national assets against any threat. The ministry said Pakistan has been and will continue to make all efforts for achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued a separate statement on the matter. He said he condemned, in the strongest terms, the attack by the Houthis targeting civilian and energy facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which he said had left many people injured.
UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs Condemnation
