Harry Potter is officially coming to Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, with three new themed lands set to bring locations from the Wizarding World to Yas Island.

Miral, in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, announced on September 7, 2026, that Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi will add three Harry Potter-themed lands: Diagon Alley, Hogwarts and the Forbidden Forest. The new development will cover approximately 63,000 square metres (678,000 square feet), with construction targeted for completion in 2029.

The project will mark the arrival of Harry Potter-themed lands in the Middle East. Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is already home to six themed lands featuring characters and franchises including Batman, Superman, Bugs Bunny, Scooby-Doo and The Flintstones.

The three locations confirmed for the expansion represent some of the best-known settings from the Harry Potter series.

Diagon Alley is the wizarding shopping district featured throughout the Harry Potter stories, while Hogwarts Castle is the school of witchcraft and wizardry where much of Harry’s story takes place. The Forbidden Forest is the woodland area located near Hogwarts and is home to various magical creatures in the Harry Potter universe.

Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi’s official website confirms that Hogwarts Castle, Diagon Alley and the Forbidden Forest will all be part of the upcoming expansion. However, the park has not yet released detailed information about the individual attractions, shops, restaurants or experiences within each area.

The new lands will feature Harry Potter-themed rides created exclusively for Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. The official announcement describes these as world-exclusive attractions developed specifically for the Abu Dhabi park.

However, details about the rides have not yet been announced. Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi has said that more information about the attractions, rides and immersive experiences will be revealed in future announcements. This means that reports about specific rides or experiences should not yet be treated as officially confirmed.

The park’s official Harry Potter page also confirms that the launch date has not yet been announced. What has been confirmed is that construction of the new lands is targeted for completion in 2029.

The Harry Potter development is part of a wider expansion of Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. The broader project also includes two previously announced DC attractions: Kryptonite Collider and Superman Up and Away.

According to Miral, the combined additions will increase the overall size of Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi by more than 50 per cent and add approximately 70,000 square metres of new theme park space.

The Harry Potter lands alone will span approximately 63,000 square metres. The announcement follows the park’s earlier plans to expand its portfolio of attractions and comes as Yas Island continues to develop its entertainment and tourism offerings.

For Harry Potter fans, the confirmed plans mean that Abu Dhabi will soon have dedicated versions of three major Wizarding World settings in one location: Diagon Alley, Hogwarts Castle and the Forbidden Forest.

For now, the exact layout, individual rides, dining options, retail stores and other immersive experiences remain undisclosed. Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi has confirmed that further details will be released as the project progresses, with construction targeted for completion in 2029.
