World Leaders Condemn the Attacks on the UAE

The international community stands in solidarity with the UAE, demanding immediate de-escalation and a return to regional stability.

The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned the attacks, emphasizing that such acts constitute a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of international law. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the UAE reserves its full right to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, national security, and national interests. The Ministry further stressed that targeting critical infrastructure represents a direct threat to regional security and stability, as well as to global energy security.

According to the UAE Ministry of Defence, national air defence systems successfully intercepted twelve ballistic missiles, three cruise missiles, and four drones launched from Iran on May 4, 2026. While the threats were neutralized, falling projectiles and debris resulted in three moderate injuries. The Ministry highlighted the extensive scale of the aggression, revealing that since the onset of the attacks, the UAE has intercepted a staggering total of 549 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles, and 2,260 drones.

This dangerous escalation has quickly garnered the attention of the international community, with world leaders expressing their solidarity with the UAE.

Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince held a phone call with the President of the UAE to express the Kingdom’s strong denunciation and condemnation of the unjustified Iranian attacks. The Crown Prince affirmed that Saudi Arabia stands alongside the UAE in defending its security and stability. This official stance was also reiterated in a graphic released by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Pakistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan strongly condemns the missile and drone attacks on civilian infrastructure in the UAE. Expressing full solidarity with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, he affirmed that Pakistan stands firmly with the Emirati government during this difficult time. Sharif also highlighted the absolute necessity of upholding the ceasefire to allow for diplomatic dialogue leading to enduring regional peace and stability.

The European Union

Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, stated that the Iranian regime’s attacks against the UAE are unacceptable and condemnable.
