Tuesday is shaping up to be an unsettled day across the UAE. The National Centre of Meteorology has forecast partly cloudy to cloudy and dusty conditions, with a chance of light rainfall over some coastal areas and islands. Temperatures are also set to dip along the western coastline.
Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah can expect highs of 35°C, 36°C, and 34°C, with overnight lows of 26°C, 26°C, and 22°C respectively. While those peak temperatures are warm, the day will feel more active than typical spring weather, with wind and dust in the mix for much of the afternoon.
Winds are blowing from the southeast and shifting toward the northwest and northeast throughout the day. Speeds are forecast between 15 and 25 km/h, freshening at times to 40 km/h. That level of wind activity is enough to kick up dust and sand across inland areas, reducing visibility on roads and highways. Drivers are advised to slow down and keep a safe distance, particularly on desert-adjacent routes where conditions can change quickly.
Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf will be slight to moderate, turning rough at times toward the west. The Oman Sea is expected to remain relatively calm. Anyone with maritime plans along the Gulf side should factor in the choppier conditions, especially for smaller vessels.
The current spell of unsettled weather is part of a broader pattern the NCM has been tracking since April 18, with dusty and unstable conditions forecast to persist through Wednesday, April 22.

For most of the day, the dust and wind are the main concern rather than heavy rain. Rainfall, if it does occur, is expected to be light and limited to coastal areas and islands. Inland residents are unlikely to see significant precipitation but may notice reduced visibility during peak wind periods.
Outdoor plans for Tuesday should account for the dusty conditions. Visibility on open roads can drop quickly when gusts reach the higher end of the forecast range, and the combination of moisture and dust can make road surfaces slippery in brief intervals. The NCM recommends residents stay updated on conditions throughout the day as the weather pattern continues to shift.
The unsettled stretch follows a period of instability that has brought rain and strong winds to parts of the country over the past several days. Conditions are expected to gradually stabilize heading into the second half of the week.
