With Ramadan 2026 around the corner, Beit Al Khair Society, UAE has launched its most ambitious humanitarian campaign yet. The Dh70 million initiative spans eight comprehensive programs designed to support low-income families and urgent humanitarian cases throughout the holy month.
The centerpiece of the campaign is the Iftar Saem project, which aims to provide approximately 1.6 million free iftar meals to fasting individuals across the Emirates. The meals will be distributed through 97 fixed distribution points and 18 Ramadan tents strategically located throughout the country.
"This year's Ramadan campaign is designed to touch the core needs of families and individuals facing financial and social pressures," said Khalifa Al Falasi, media and public relations consultant at Beit Al Khair Society. "Our priority this year is strengthening family stability and ensuring dignified living conditions for those most in need."
The campaign aligns with the UAE's designation of 2026 as the Year of the Family, emphasizing the society's commitment to easing financial pressures and strengthening family stability during the holy month.

Emergency Aid and Humanitarian Support Top Campaign Priorities
The largest portion of the Ramadan budget, Dh26.5 million, has been allocated to urgent humanitarian assistance. This addresses cases that cannot be delayed, including settling overdue rent to prevent eviction, paying electricity and water bills, covering medical treatment and essential medication, and supporting families affected by crises such as the loss of a breadwinner.
"Emergency aid represents the heart of our humanitarian mission," Al Falasi explained. "These are cases where immediate intervention can prevent severe hardship, and Ramadan is a time when responding quickly carries even greater meaning."
The Iftar Saem project receives Dh18 million to ensure consistent meal distribution throughout Ramadan. Each location has been selected based on field studies that consider population density and the presence of workers and vulnerable groups across the UAE. Meals are prepared according to approved health standards and distributed daily with trained volunteers and field partners.
Beyond immediate meals, Dh7 million supports the Meer Ramadan food parcel program, while Dh7.6 million provides monthly cash and in-kind assistance to low-income Emirati families.
Debt relief remains critical, with Dh6 million designated for the Gharimeen program, plus Dh2.5 million for Zakat Al Fitr and Dh1.2 million for Eidiya.
"These programs aim not only to meet immediate needs but to preserve dignity and social stability," Al Falasi emphasized. "Ramadan support should ease burdens and restore peace of mind to families."

How UAE Residents and Companies Can Participate in Ramadan Giving
Beit Al Khair Society is encouraging individuals, companies, and institutions to participate by sponsoring iftar tents, meal distribution points, food parcels, or individual humanitarian cases.
"We offer sponsors clear agreements that define the project scope, duration, and cost," Al Falasi said. "Donors can follow the impact of their contributions digitally and, in some cases, through on-ground involvement, reinforcing transparency and community partnership."
The society operates with a database of more than 65,000 eligible beneficiaries. All applications undergo social research and assessment to ensure transparency and fairness. While the campaign primarily targets low-income Emirati families, urgent humanitarian aid may be extended to residents under specific conditions.
Requests for assistance can be submitted directly through the society's website. This systematic approach ensures aid reaches those most in need while maintaining beneficiary dignity and privacy.
For companies fulfilling corporate social responsibility goals during Ramadan, the campaign offers structured partnership opportunities. Businesses can sponsor distribution points, support employees' families in need, or fund specific programs.
The 97 fixed distribution points operate daily, serving workers who break their fast away from home, families facing temporary hardship, and individuals who might otherwise go without iftar. The 18 Ramadan tents provide communal spaces fostering the spirit of community central to the holy month.
The campaign embodies the UAE's values of compassion and community support. By combining emergency aid, food distribution, debt relief, and family support, Beit Al Khair Society addresses both immediate needs and longer-term stability. With 1.6 million meals planned and Dh70 million invested, the 2026 Ramadan campaign stands as one of the society's most impactful initiatives during the Year of the Family.
